Oh Christmas Tree!

We are leaving for California tomorrow and won't be back until December 5th! We are going to spend Thanksgiving with Eric's family in southern California and while we're there we are going to see friends, eat at some of our old favorite restaurants and.....go to Disneyland!! The kids love Tinker Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mickey Mouse, and since they are free while they are under 3 years old, we figured now's the time to go! We are all very excited- Eric and I aren't sure if the kids are more excited or us. We can't wait to see it through their eyes. :)

On Tuesday we are going to head up to San Francisco and the kids and I are going to play around the city and visit with one of my best friends (hi Jami!) while Eric works. A couple weeks ago Eric's company announced big news with Twitter (fun fact: I took that photo of the CEO- I guess I'm a published photographer now hehe) so he's there to celebrate and network. We've been wanting to spend some time in San Francisco for a while now, so we're really excited this worked out. We rented an apartment on airbnb.com and I plan to zoom around the city on public transportation with the kids. Wish me luck!

Because we won't be back until December 5th, we decided to put our tree up before we left. We invited the Coleman's over to help us decorate (our own little mini Thanksgiving :)). It was a good end to a crazy day! The kids are both suffering from a stomach bug and I can't even tell you how many diapers I changed today. I think they are being extra fussy because of it, so I played referee all day while they fought over EVERYTHING!

Three things:

1. That girl in the photo looks like one of my neighbor's daughters when she was a little younger. (Scroll down to see a pic sans glasses.) http://jbcampbellfamily.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html#4246588511456595043

2. Love the news of your husband's company! That's so awesome!

3. What setting do you use on your camera to get that lighting with the tree? My Christmas tree pictures always turn out cruddy. :(

Hey! I have a really good camera (that I use for my professional photos) that goes up to 6400 ISO. Set your camera to the highest ISO, the lowest f-stop (resulting in a faster shutter speed) and hold still! Hopefully your subject can hold still, too! Good luck :)
