Nature vs. Nurture

It always surprises me when the kids express marked differences in the way they play and the things they they like to do and eat. They have been exposed to the exact same foods and toys since day #1, so we are a real life example of the power of "nature"!

Now that the weather is actually comfortable in the mornings (still HOT in the afternoon's- I think we're on day 86 of triple digit heat this year) I've been taking the kids to the park a lot more. Emery has been battling a cold this week and so instead of doing our usual play date today and risking the other kids getting sick by the close contact, I figured some fresh air would do us all some good. (Emery also stayed home from school on Wednesday so she and I had a really nice girl's day. We even got to have lunch with daddy!)

I have some pictures on my camera of the kids playing with their dumptrucks and shovels but I can't, for the life of me, locate a USB cord in this house! I think the kids have been hiding them...

I did, however, take this cute video on my phone. Anderson found some communal cars to play with and Emery turned the wall into a balance beam. Nature at it's finest! :)
