Sorry there haven't been many updates lately. I've definitely been lacking motivation lately for this blog. I know it's important though so I will try my best to throw up a post and a few pictures every once in a while. Mostly I'm just enjoying life with our two crazily fabulous 28 month olds! They keep us laughing every day with the adorable and
brilliant things that they say and do. Have I mentioned that Emery tells us we need to "whipser" when her baby dolls sleep? I've been meaning to put that on here so I don't forget. Their speech is getting better and better every day so I'm sure that one could be gone any time now.

September has been the month of trips- we are 2 down and one still to go. Early in the month I took a trip with some girl friends to Port Aransas. We rented a cute little beach house and had an awesome time drinking and laughing and soaking up the sun. I missed my family but it was a nice break.
Last weekend Eric and I went to New Orleans while the babes stayed with their Avos. A few months ago Southwest was having a $40 one way deal, so we couldn't pass it up! We gorged ourselves on beignets, gambled at Harrahs, took a cooking class, ate some amazing food and enjoyed some alone time :). Eric was getting over a cold so we were back in our hotel by 9:30 both nights! We are so old!!
This weekend we celebrated Auntie Sarah's birthday with a yummy dinner at Chuy's on Friday night. We sat outside in the gorgeous weather and let the kids run around and play with all the other children there. We had such a great time chatting while the kids played :). On Saturday we went to Amelia's first soccer game. It was such a hoot! All these short little people
chasing after a ball haha. Amelia seemed like she had fun and it was fun to watch her with all of her friends we've known for a few years now. Today we walked around Town Lake even though it was back in the 100's! When is this heat going to go away?! Later, Eric watched the kids while I got together with some girlfriends and then we finished up the day at Chipotle for dinner. It was a fun weekend!
On Friday we leave on a road trip to Florida for a week! We have rented a condo that walks out onto a lazy river and is within walking distance to the beach. We are going to build sand castles, search for shells, watch for dolphins, eat some fabulous seafood and enjoy some family time with just the four of us! It won't be Paris (which is where we were the same week last year) but I'm sure it will be fabulous! :)
